System Administrator
Fort Bragg, North Carolina ATS is looking for a qualified System Administrator to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility at Fort Bragg, NC. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise IT systems and servers in support of the Special Operations Mission Training Center, ensuring availability, performance, and mission readiness of training and mission command systems.
- Configure, harden, and manage operating systems and network services, including Microsoft Server environments, virtual machines, file systems, and network protocols in accordance with DoD and Army cybersecurity requirements.
- Monitor system performance and conduct troubleshooting, utilizing diagnostic tools to identify, isolate, and resolve system, server, and network issues with minimal disruption to training operations.
- Support Joint and Army Mission Command systems, including TAK, CPCE, SOF Mission Command platforms, and associated training systems, ensuring proper configuration, updates, and operational availability.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protections, including ACAS, Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS), Trellix, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and other approved DoD security tools.
- Manage virtualization environments, including VMware vCenter operations, virtual machine provisioning, patching, backups, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain system documentation and technical records, including configuration baselines, change logs, and security-related documentation required for audits and compliance.
- Operate within Secret clearance requirements, safeguarding sensitive systems, data, and information in accordance with security policies.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field or equivalent military training.
- Must possess a current certification that meets the requirements for the DCWF System Administrator (451) at the Basic proficiency level.
- Acceptable certifications for the System Administrator (451) role include Security+ CE or CySA+.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the following areas (as evidenced by experience or training):
- System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.
- File system implementations (NTFS, FAT, EXT).
- IT security principles and methods (firewalls, DMZs, encryption).
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Operating system command line/prompt.
- System/server diagnostic tools and fault identification.
- Virtualization technologies and virtual machine management.
- System performance monitoring and optimization.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, VMware (vCenter), and SharePoint administration.
- Experience with Joint/Army Mission Command systems (e.g., TAK, CPCE, SOF MC).
- Experience with ACAS, Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS), Trellix, Microsoft Defender Endpoint, and other DoD security tools.

Personnel work closely with military leadership, government representatives, contractors, and visiting units, often in a dynamic environment with frequent schedule changes, after-hours requirements, and surge operations. The position requires strict adherence to Army physical security policies, discretion when handling sensitive information, constant attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset while operating within controlled access areas and under Secret-level security clearance requirements.
