DESCRIPTION The Storekeeper will order, receive, inspect and store food service products, will communicate and resolve discrepancies according to UCSD policies and procedures; will establish and maintain approved storehouse systems including receiving, inventory, requisitions, etc.; will maintain all storage areas in neat, orderly, clean and sanitary condition. Position will provide stores accountability and usage in required time frame; will maintain security. Will perform a variety of duties related to storekeeper duties, according to established procedures and quality standards. Uphold all departmental sanitation and hygiene standards. Conducts food items, supplies and equipment inventory. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Previous food inventory experience. Experience with perishable and non-perishable inventory. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One to two (1 - 2) years of food inventory and/or warehouse experience. Knowledge of FIFO (first in, first out) method. Possess basic computer skills; knowledge of accessing online resources and training. Ability to operate University vehicles for work-related tasks. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Ability to push/pull/lift 50-100 lbs. Must be available to work weekends, variable days and hours, holidays, and occasional overtime. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $43,952 - $57,963 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $21.05 - $27.76 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
