Responsibilities

LMI seeks a Supply Chain Project Manager to assist a federal program office charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of infrastructure, technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are seeking an energetic self-starter who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team. This individual will support the construction of our client's tactical technology infrastructure projects along the southwest border.

    Review contractor's written and certified procedures to ensure incoming and outgoing material properly received, inventoried, tracked and shipped
  • Monitor contractor's processes to ensure compliance with written procedures
  • Review and confirm all receipts and shipments of material
  • Ensure contractor provides electronic copies of all receiving documents and ensure they are transmitted/transferred to client.
  • Receive and approve construction contractor's requested truck pickups or rail requests and forward to distribution site operator.
  • Confirm requested material pickups are scheduled in timely manner and communicated back to requesting construction contractor.
  • Gather electronic records of all transfer documents and bills of lading and store in approved repository.
  • Monitor shipments and pickups to identify "no-shows" and other exceptions that could cause backlogs or delay construction
  • Provide shipping, receiving reports and develop reporting tools as required
  • Participate in program meetings, develop briefing materials, create meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and track action items to resolution.
  • Up to 50% travel is required.


Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or business/management
  • 7+ years of DoD, DHS, or another civilian agency logistics experience and a bachelor's degree in logistics management, business, or a related discipline; or 10+ years of DoD, DHS, or another civilian agency logistics experience.
  • Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) background investigation (BI) preferred.
  • Skills and experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to effectively solve problems.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Targeted Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000
