Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, and four years of qualifying full-time experience in unemployment insurance, employment services, tax, accounting, auditing, or related fiscal services work.

OR

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to two years of full-time work in unemployment insurance, employment services, tax, accounting, auditing or finance work.

Necessary Special Qualifications: None.

Overview

Under general supervision, is responsible for specialized clerical work of average difficulty and lead work of routine difficulty in the Unemployment Insurance Division; and performs related work as required. This is the minor supervisory class in the Unemployment Specialist sub-series. An employee in this class does work that requires technical knowledge in the application of unemployment insurance laws and regulations. Incumbents may perform work involving difficult and complex unemployment insurance issues, and no supervision is required.

Responsibilities

The hiring division has requested to use interview questions associated with the Admin Secretary (1077) as they fall in line with similar duties this position will be responsible for.
