The AVP, Enterprise Analytics & Insights is a strategic and operational leader responsible for advancing reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights across Quartz and our provider sponsors. Reporting directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), this role shapes enterprise data strategy, strengthens payer-provider collaboration, and fosters a culture of data literacy and insight-driven performance. This senior leader will lead the vision, roadmap, governance, and execution of enterprise analytics-delivering high-quality insights that support innovation, operational effectiveness, and population health outcomes.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise reporting, analytics, and insights strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead prioritization and execution of key analytics initiatives aligned with corporate goals.
  • Drive digital transformation through enhanced data mining, automation, and AI enablement.
  • Establish mechanisms to ensure data credibility, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Embed agile methodologies focused on execution, outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Reporting, Analytics & Insights Delivery

  • Lead reporting, analytics, and insights for Quartz and provider sponsors (internal and external stakeholders).
  • Oversee recurring operational reporting with the highest standards of quality and validation.
  • Direct advanced analytics initiatives that address complex and ambiguous business challenges, including:
    • Healthcare payer outcomes
    • Operational and financial reporting
    • Leading and lagging indicators
    • Trends surveillance
    • Actuarial analysis
    • Population health and clinical programs
    • Quality improvement
    • Customer conversion and growth initiatives
  • Deliver measurable cost savings, operational efficiencies, and value through data exchange.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Strengthen partnerships with enterprise leaders, provider sponsors, vendors, agents/brokers, and employer groups.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and deliver KPIs and strategic performance metrics.
  • Influence executive stakeholders through compelling, data-driven storytelling.
  • Ensure insights are aligned with payer-provider requirements and organizational objectives.

Enterprise Capabilities & Governance

  • Oversee enterprise reporting, analytics, and insights competencies - improving data literacy across the enterprise.
  • Partner cross-functionally with enterprise architecture, engineering, infrastructure, information security, and business capability teams.
  • Improve user access to reporting, rolling out self-service reporting capabilities, while maintaining rigorous data protection and privacy standards.
  • Establish and enforce corporate data governance policies.
  • Oversee data workflows and lifecycle management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent, relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in data management, analytics, and/or business intelligence, with at least 7 years of formal leadership experience.
  • Expertise in Data Engineering & Data Management, Data Quality & Validation, ETL processes & tools, Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare payer or similar environment with a deep understanding of health insurance, payer-provider requirements, and payer operations is preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing successful data strategies that support business objectives in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, architecture, privacy, and security regulations.
  • Deep knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in analytics and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple departments.
  • Proven track record building and leading high-performing analytics teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to articulate a compelling future vision.
  • High degree of diplomacy, integrity, and ethical leadership.
  • Proven flexibility, open-mindedness, and executive presence.

This position may work remotely, with some expected travel to our Madison, WI as needed. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
