Overview

If so, Quartz has the opportunity for you! Our Finance Team is seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to join the Department. This position will be responsible for assisting with divisional GAAP and Statutory accounting and assisting with the development of the related internal and external financial reports. This role will also conduct analysis, reconciliations, preparation of internal and external audits requests, general journal entries, and assistance with the preparation of regulatory forms, reports and tax filings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare general ledger entries, work papers, and reconciliations.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual supporting schedules to assist with timely completion of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements, and regulatory reports that comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Review and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and variances.
  • Prepare and compile analysis and support documentation in compliance with HIPPA as required for external and internal audits.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and analytical software.
  • Beginner knowledge of automated general ledger systems.
  • Ability to be inquisitive, creative in developing analytical tools and financial presentation formats.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
  • Create strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
