We are currently seeking a Regional Quality Director to be based out of one of HDR's larger offices.The Regional Quality Director will be part of the regional team representing the HDR Quality Office and the HDR Quality Management System (QMS) while partnering with regional/local operations and business group leadership in the East Region. You will serve as abusiness partnerin building awareness, driving education and awareness of risk management practices, and assisting local areas as they develop processes and execute project work. In the role, more specific duties include:
- Provide support and direction for the QMS; serve as an active partner with HDR's Regional and Area Management Teams.
- Work with Regional and Area Management Teams, and other Regional Quality Directors to implement quality improvements of services, operations and processes within regions and companywide.
- Monitor and evaluate the culture of quality in area of responsibility and participate in review activities as appropriate.
- Serve as regional advocate and resource for maintaining a strong quality culture and QMS.
- Support the organization's strategic plan and direction.
- Identify training needs in the organization and assist both the Quality Office Director and Learning and Organizational Development Director as needed in the development of QMS related training.
- Support quality internal audits by addressing identified non-conformances and developing Corrective Actions Plans with area leadership.
- Assess client experience to identify trends in service delivery.
- Work with region and area leadership in development of their strategic plan for improving the culture of quality, staff engagement, employee awareness, client support, loss reduction, product quality, and improve workflow efficiencies.
- Work with the Quality Office Director in the development and pursuit of company quality initiatives (including standards and practices, tool and process development, and lessons learned).
- Evaluate acquisition quality programs/management systems as requested by the Quality Office Director; facilitate transition to and training of the HDR QMS.
- Represent Regional/Area Management Team interests to the Quality Steering Committee. Participate in the development and review of policies, procedures, and standards.
- Increase HDR recognition in business and industry through professional society presentations, committee membership, and in pursuit of national and customer quality awards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Professional, Engineering or closely related field
- A minimum of 8 years in similar consulting industry and a minimum of 5 years in Quality Management
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Access
- Understanding of analytic processes
- ASQ CMQ/OE (American Society for Quality Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence) or equivalent or the ability to obtain certification within one year of assignment
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
