Here's what you'd do:

  • The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and validation of electrical systems for industrial refrigeration and industrial cooling equipment.
  • This role supports LU-VE's strategic objective of strengthening industrial machinery compliance and electrical standardization within the U.S. Plant.
  • The ideal candidate will serve as a technical reference point in industrial machinery electrical compliance and control panel design.
  • Development of electrical systems for industrial machinery in compliance with applicable U.S. standards and regulations.
  • Design and development of special orders in Industrial Refrigeration and Industrial Cooling.
  • Interpret and apply industrial machinery standards (U.S. equivalent of EN 60204-1).
  • Serve as an internal technical resource for UL/NFPA compliance and support audits, inspections, and certification processes.
  • Selection and validation of electrical components according to project specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Creation of electrical diagrams using electrical CAD software.
  • Preparation and management of Bill of Materials (BOM) within SAP/Teamcenter or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Coding and validation of components in the management system.
  • Support component validation and technical approval processes.
  • Technical development using 3D CAD (Inventor) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical standardization within the U.S. facility.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $90K - 95K/yr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial machinery or industrial control systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing industrial control panels for machinery applications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in BOM management and ERP systems (SAP, Teamcenter, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using 3D CAD software (Inventor).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with UL 508A and NFPA 79 standards, with the capability to apply, interpret, and transfer this knowledge to the broader engineering team.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical load calculations, protection sizing, transformers, and generators.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of industrial regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to act as a technical reference and mentor within the engineering team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
