A Taste of What You'll Do

Join Gallo Glass as a Sr. Engineer and lead critical segments of large-scale projects that directly shape our packaging and processing capability. You'll use project management and technical expertise across disciplines-electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, packaging, or automation-to lead project teams and translate cross-functional requirements into reliable, world-class solutions.

You will lead and be accountable for the scope, schedule, and budget of capital projects, ensuring compliance with company processes, standards, and specifications throughout execution. The responsibilities of this role include:



  • Working with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop and align project charters and success criteria, then validating those criteria to ensure all requirements are satisfied upon project completion.
  • Developing project budgets, managing procurement, and being responsible for financial forecasting and tracking throughout project execution.
  • Creating and managing comprehensive project schedules encompassing design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Leveraging your technical expertise to execute and facilitate engineering efforts across internal teams and external vendors, including research and feasibility studies to guide strategic business decisions.
  • Composing detailed scopes of work, proposing effective procurement strategies, and supporting the contract development process.
  • Leading risk assessments and hazard analyses, managing change control, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating to create communication plans and work breakdown structures, developing standard work, and coordinating training plans to support project success.
  • Managing construction and safety on your job sites.
  • Preparing commissioning plans that fulfill project success criteria and contract requirements, managing the startup and commissioning process, and supporting handover to the customer.
  • Training and mentoring others in technical complexities.

What You'll Need



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years of manufacturing engineering, project management, or new product introduction/development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include TMDP experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of manufacturing engineering, project management, or new product introduction/development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience developing project scopes, schedules and budgets
  • Experience developing executive summaries and effectively presenting information to management
  • Experience managing vendors, suppliers, and/or contractors
  • Skilled in defining problems and developing solutions
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.



How You'll Stand Out



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 8 years of engineering experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Specific experience in food and beverage packaging.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
  • Skilled in creating flow charts, construction drawings, or other graphical methods to communicate intent to management and contractors.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Project at an advanced level; MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level; MS Access at a basic level.
