Role Purpose: 1st Assistant Golf Professional

Location: Cap Rock at Horseshoe Bay Resort Compensation: $20.00 / hour

The 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Cap Rock is a key leadership role dedicated to delivering a world-class golf experience. This position manages daily operations, fosters a culture of service excellence, and supports the golf department's financial and instructional goals.

Required Qualifications



  • PGA Affiliation: Must be a current PGA of America member or an associate in good standing.
  • Operational Expertise: Proven experience in daily golf operations, including tee sheet management and tournament coordination.
  • Instructional Ability: Demonstrated skill in providing golf instruction to players of all skill levels.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of golf shop financials and retail sales strategies.
  • Facility Oversight: Familiarity with managing practice facilities and maintaining a high-quality cart fleet.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to lead a team while collaborating effectively across resort departments.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent level of professional work experience.
  • Professional Standards: Unwavering commitment to a professional appearance and a demeanor that reflects "Genuine Texas Hospitality".
