Job Title: Payroll Specialist Location: Sandy Springs, GA On-Site/Hybrid (1x a week) Compensation: $70,000-75,000/year salary Job Description Vaco is partnering with a growing healthcare client seeking a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing bi?weekly payroll for a large, multi?location employee group. This role manages the full payroll cycle in UKG, supports practice administrators, and serves as the primary contact for payroll, tax, and timekeeping questions. Key Responsibilities Process bi?weekly payroll for 1,500+ employees (full-cycle payroll) Independently run and close payrolls in UKG with a high level of accuracy Open payroll every other Monday and finalize processing by Wednesday Maintain payroll data, including employee updates and corrections Review and distribute pre?check registers to ensure accuracy Build strong relationships with practice administrators and internal teams Serve as the first point of contact for payroll, tax, deduction, and timecard inquiries Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally Ensure compliance with payroll laws, policies, and internal procedures Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience processing high?volume, multi?entity, multi-state payrolls for 1000+ employees (required) 2-4+ years of recent UltiPro/UKG experience (required) Strong knowledge of payroll tax (required) Strong communication skills and ability to support internal partners (required) Ability to handle confidential information with discretion within payroll (required) Proactive problem?solver with a service?oriented mindset (required) Candidates with proven job stability (preferred) Candidates must be local to the metro Atlanta market (required) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
