Description and Requirements

The Lenovo OEM NPI Product Operations Program Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating, managing, and executing the introduction of new products within the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business. This position acts as a bridge between supply chain management, product integration, engineering, and customer support, ensuring new product introductions (NPI) are delivered on schedule and meet specifications. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, operational expertise, and a strong dedication to stakeholder collaboration. This role is designed to foster growth, supporting individuals with foundational to moderate experience in OEM environments and offering opportunities to refine their skills within a leading global technology company.

The OEM NPI Product Operations Program Manager leads efforts to enhance geographic launch activities. This involves overseeing pricing and cost loading with the global cost engineering and planning teams, ensuring that all systems are ready, early order windows, SOVP, SS, and certifications. This role requires collaboration across different regions to align OEM product roadmaps and key account activities, incorporating input from OEM sales teams. Additionally, the NPI PM handles operational tasks specific to each geography, such as demand planning for extended life products and coordinating requirements for unique CPUs, GPUs, and RAID adapters with the geo brand and 4P teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration among engineering, supply chain, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful new product launches. Align project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across departments.
  • OEM Partner Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for external OEM partners, supporting the integration of product requirements and specifications. Maintain strong professional relationships to support ongoing and future projects.
  • Project Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the progress of NPI projects, identify potential bottlenecks or risks, and provide timely reports and updates to management. Use project management tools to maintain visibility and transparency throughout the product introduction lifecycle.
  • Technical and Administrative Support: Assist in resolving technical issues, document processes, and support administrative tasks related to OEM projects. Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their requirements, address inquiries, and provide effective solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Geo engagement on OEM unique demand planning, early order window enablement, cost tape updates and ensuring all systems, and certifications are ready for the NPI launch specific to each geography along with the sales teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years work experience in OEM, supply chain, technology operations, or project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
  • Past experience working with global and cross-functional teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project), and supply chain management platforms.
  • Past experience with product lifecycle stages, from concept through development, production, and market introduction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (such as PMP or Six Sigma) are advantageous.
  • Experience with new product introductions or technical integration is highly valued as well as familiarity with the integration processes specific to OEM environments.
  • Experience working with Lenovo products or comparable technology solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving business needs.
  • Project management experience, including exposure to Agile methodologies, is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for process improvement.
