This is a 50% - 100% 18 month Limited appointment position. This appointment may be converted to career status based on the needs and funding of the department. This position will support the multi-institution U.S. Argo Program. Argo is a global array of more than 4,000 autonomous profiling floats that measure essential ocean variables. The U.S. Argo Program comprises six U.S. institutions responsible for maintaining the array and for the curation and dissemination of the resulting data. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a Program Coordinator, providing logistical support and operational coordination for the U.S. Argo Program. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the U.S. Argo Program Co-Chairs and the International Argo Program Coordinator to facilitate coordination among contributing U.S. institutions; track program metrics; interface with funding agencies; support reporting requirements; contribute to outreach materials and program websites; and assist with coordination with commercial partners.Position involves providing general research support to U.S. Argo principal investigators, focused on activities that help demonstrate the program's scientific value. This additional role requires experience with scientific programming. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,171 - $104,836 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.21 - $50.21 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
