Job Overview

The Data Analyst at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation) is responsible for standard level work providing quantitative and qualitative data and producing actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement and display root cause analysis of problems. Communicates findings and insights to stakeholders and provides business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance. Provides reporting solutions and responds to ad-hoc report requests. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Data Strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Management
* Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Blackbaud CRM into Power BI
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
* Manage data gateways, data warehouses, and other connections
* Maintain secure data handling practices in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Dashboard & Visualization Development
* Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
* Create visualizations that provide actionable insights for fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational performance
* Continuously improve dashboard useability and performance based on stakeholder feedback
Analytics & Reporting
* Analyze data in Excel, Power BI and other data sources to understand business impacts and support decision makings
* Analyze donor trends, campaign performance, and revenue metrics using CRM data
* Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to leadership and key departments
* Develop predictive models or segmentation strategies to support fundraising goals and performance goals
* Collaboration and Training
* Work closely with all business unites to understand data needs
* Train stall on interpreting dashboards and leveraging data for decision-making
* Serve as a subject matter expert for Power BI and Blackbaud CRM data analytics
Data Governance & Best Practices
* Establish and maintain documentation for data processes and reporting standards
* Stay current on Power BI features, Blackbaud CRM updates, and data visualization best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
Degrees- An undergraduate (BA/BS) degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another related field is strongly desired. If no undergraduate degree, direct experience in a data analytics position will include an additional four years in addition to the minimum of three for a total of seven years applied work experience.

Experience- A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience with data analysis, business intelligence, data management. Prior experience working with Power BI and ETL process is required for this job.

The Data Analyst will have the following knowledge and skills to do this job:

* Proficient experience with Blackbaud CRM or another enterprise of CRM/database
* Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and integrating data across systems
* Proficiency with Power Query, SQL, and data modeling in Power BI
* Understanding of data gateways, data warehouses, API connections, and data refresh management
* Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and securing data best and current compliance practices
* Proven ability to design, build and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports
* Understanding of visual design principles
* Demonstrated experience in Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI, R Studio, or similar programs
* Ability to clearly communicate and train others on how to access, interpret and use data in their work decisions

Preferred Qualifications
Direct work and/or experience working in a non-profit setting.
Project Management certification or experience.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $70,200.00 to $95,500.00
