Legal Secretary

About Us:

Our firm is a well-recognized and busy law practice focusing on civil litigation in the areas of workers' compensation, employment, and personal injury. We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a meticulous eye for detail, a passion for quality, and a well-developed understanding of legal processes and documentation. Will train the right candidate.

Salary:

• approximately $20(+)/hour, negotiable, commensurate with experience.

Office hours:

• Monday-Thursday 8: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m.; Friday 8: 00a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job duties:
Our Legal Secretary works with attorneys practicing in workers’ compensation, personal injury claims, and employment law to prepare legal documents, communicate with outside parties, as well as maintain meticulous file organization.

Requirements:

• A successful candidate will be experienced in the legal field, have outstanding organizational and word processing skills, and mastery of common Microsoft Office programs.
• Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of legal processes and procedures is an advantage, but we will train an exceptional applicant.
• Candidates will be expected to accurately transcribe dictations in a timely manner.
