Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Underground Utility Locator to join our dynamic field team. In this critical role, you will identify and mark underground utilities to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. Your expertise will help prevent costly damages, protect workers, and support successful project completion. This position offers an energetic environment where your field service skills and technical knowledge will make a tangible impact. Duties
- Locate and mark underground utilities using specialized equipment and techniques to prevent damage during excavation.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, maps, and utility plans with precision.
- Maintain detailed records of utility locations, markings, and site inspections for project documentation.
- Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a utility locator.
- Hands-on experience with utility locating equipment and techniques.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with utility infrastructure is a plus
Requirements
- Proven experience as a utility locator
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Successful completion of background screen, drug screen
Physical Abilities
Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to exchange information; carrying 3-5 lb. electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 50 pounds or lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
