This role will be part of a core team responsible for designing, deploying, and operationalizing the asset discovery platform across the enterprise. The project focuses on establishing a single, accurate source of truth for IT, IoT, IoMT, and unmanaged assets by enabling continuous network-based discovery, enrichment, and classification. The team will work closely with infrastructure, network, security, and downstream application owners to ensure high data quality, scalable deployments, and seamless integrations, transitioning the platform from initial rollout to stable BAU operations.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks and drive continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation
  • Design, implement, and maintain network discovery tools (eg, Armis, Runzero, Lansweeper) to ensure comprehensive asset visibility
  • Demonstrate conceptual knowledge of network discovery principles and methodologies
  • Analyze network and system data to identify infrastructure components, configurations, and interdependencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate discovery data into IT asset management and security systems
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of discovery processes and data accuracy in large-scale environments
  • Provide subject matter expertise on networking protocols, system architectures, and asset discovery best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to network discovery tool performance and data collection

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 10+ years of experience in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP) and system architectures (e.g., Windows, Linux, cloud platforms)
  • 7+ years of experience in the implementation and management of scanning and discovery tools in large enterprise environments (10,000+ devices)
  • 5+ years of experience with Network Discovery tools such as Armis, Runzero, Lansweeper, BMC Discovery, ServiceNOW discovery, HP UD etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data collection and analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting on discovered assets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
  • Experience with other IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as healthcare
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise reports and presentations for various audiences

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
