This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

This role is responsible for effectively communicating across functions and teams, regular updates, reports and/or presentations on facilities' status, overseeing and managing all aspects of real estate transactions. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely and efficient closings to support the organization's real estate objectives.

This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

We offer 12 weeks of paid training. The hours of training will be based on your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Program leadership to ensure that facilities are sufficient to serve the necessary volume of work to ensure success
  • Leads individual, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions, with direct accountability for project delivery
    • Oversees project quality through various stage gates by evaluating design deliverables for quality, timeliness, and user expectations
    • Develops project ad-hoc forecasts/estimates, monitor budgets, cash flow, accrual reporting
    • Coordinate and track procurement and change order request logs
    • Provides regular communication on project cost, schedule and risk status to project team members and stakeholders. Advise management to any potential problems related to scope, cost or schedule
  • Provides ongoing management of real estate transaction activities for a defined portfolio of properties. Prepares, recommends, and implements a regional portfolio transaction strategy for acquiring and disposing of real estate properties. Coordinates field resources and other partners in the execution of lease renewals, new site acquisitions, early lease termination, and more. Implements real estate plans with an understanding of strategic real estate goals. Assists with project initiation and scope definition, prioritizes assignments, and meets objectives, commitments, and deadlines

    • Lead and oversee real estate transactions from inception to completion
    • Concurrently acts as tenant/buyer agent and effectively negotiates the business terms and conditions for a variety of commercial real estate products
    • Drafts and creates a variety of analyses and relevant documents, including but not limited to: project initiation, market comparable reports, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), proposal comparison packages, letters of intent, and opinions of value
    • Monitors and maintains a real estate project tracking system to ensure timely transaction completion. Prepares reports and makes presentations to relevant parties
    • Resolves landlord and tenant disputes
  • Coordinates soft services for all business units, large departments or work groups. Establishes specifications, solicits bids, negotiates, and participates in the contract development
  • Travel could be up to 50% of the position during peak times and a minimum of 10%, including nights and weekends

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years (24 months) of documented experience in real estate project coordination, design support, construction management, or similar roles. Measure via resume timeline, employment verification, or reference checks
  • 2+ years (24 months) of experience in independent, self-driven remote positions. Assess through specific examples of remote achievements or productivity metrics provided by candidates
  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint) demonstrated by completing a skills assessment test with a score of 80% or higher. Experience with tools like Smartsheet or Trello can be verified through practical demos or certifications
  • 2+ years of experience working with CAD (Computer Aidd Design)
  • Experience with managing at least 3-5 complex projects, with quantifiable outcomes (e.g., projects completed on time / under budget). Evaluate via portfolio reviews or case study interviews where candidates quantify results (e.g., "Reduced project timelines by 15%")
  • Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and / or patient sites within a designated area
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to commit to up to 50% domestic travel (e.g., 2-3 weeks per month during peaks), confirmed by past travel history or willingness to provide a travel availability plan

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with multi-site portfolios or commercial properties, quantified by managing at least 5-10 sites or properties in past roles
  • Hands on experience with business licensing and permitting, assessed by candidates providing examples of handling 3+ applications / renewals with 100% compliance success rate
  • Expressed interest in real estate / facilities management, measured qualitatively but supported by long-term career goals (e.g., 5+ years planned in the field)

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
