FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Position Summary The Contract Specialist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, offering a role where your in-depth knowledge and expertise of assigned contracts will support internal education and operational compliance with contract terms. From researching issues, recommending resolutions and working across stakeholders, you will ensure effective contract processes and procedures across our health care system. Responsibilities You will collect and assimilate payer contract information to support contract implementation, operations, and customer service functions You will develop and maintain contract summaries to support internal education and operational compliance with contract terms You will assist in researching issues and recommends resolutions to escalated claim payment, reimbursement, and operations issues Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum five (5) years of related experience and/or training Experience with commercial payers contracts, payment variance, policies and contract methodologies Why MultiCare? As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $66,997.00 - $96,408.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
