FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday

This position will have a main office in Tacoma and will support our Mary Bridge Children's Outreach Centers in Puyallup, Federal Way, and Covington.

Position Summary

The Supervisor - MB Regional Outpatient Operations is responsible for the achievement of system goals around finance, quality, service, and engagement objectives through the oversight of all site operational functions of assigned Regional Outpatient Center locations that are geographically dispersed in the Western Washington region (approximately two to three clinics per Supervisor). The scope of this work to include (but not limited to) budget oversight, human resource management, and clinic optimization. The Supervisor will need to travel to the various clinics on a regular basis and be available during business hours. The incumbent will supervise front and back office operational staff and perform human resource related functions such as recruitment, performance management, staff engagement and recognition as well as oversight of all operational duties related to staff scheduling, assisting in management of third-party contracts, ancillary services, supply ordering, regulatory compliance, and planning and development of new sites, when applicable. This individual partners closely with supervisory direct reports, Mary Bridge ambulatory clinic leaders, Mary Bridge Business Operations leaders, medical directors, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and clinic staff to create and realize vision for the culture, engagement, and efficiency of the clinic sites, requiring the development of rapport and professional relationships.

Maintain MA-C license and BLS certification as there will be situations that require covering front or back office due to staffing shortages. MA work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.

Work situations are varied and require servant leadership traits, a service oriented professional manner, well developed communication skills, the ability to organize many functions simultaneously, discretion, and critical thinking. Decision making is required in the daily routine functions of the position. Major decisions are subject to review and approval. Internal contacts include department staff and management in such areas as HIM, IS, Patient Accounts as well as other Mary Bridge clinic leaders. External contacts include patients, families, private physician offices, insurance companies, DSHS, DOH, and outside agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree or 2 years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in related professional or technical role/function
  • Minimum of one (1) year of MA experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Basic Life Safety certification (BLS)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $76,710.00 - $110,365.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
