The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Office of Private Sector Careers, the Career Counselor provides career counseling and professional development services to students enrolled in Columbia Law School's J.D. and LL.M programs and, as needed, alumni of the J.D. and LL.M. programs. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. J.D. or master's degree in counseling or higher education administration strongly preferred. Two to three years' experience, preferably in a law school or legal employment environment preferred. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Computer literacy required. Experience in dealing with professional communities strongly preferred. Some evening work required.
