Senior Customer Engineer, Deasy Labs

As a Senior Customer Engineer at Deasy Labs, you will work directly with customers to design and demonstrate solutions using the Deasy Labs platform. You will partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to help organizations turn unstructured data into AI-ready knowledge.

In this role, you will lead technical discovery, deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, and guide customers in applying Deasy Labs to solve complex data and AI challenges.

This is a hybrid role based in our [CITY] office. Our hybrid model means you'll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.


About Deasy Labs

Deasy Labs, part of Collibra, develops technology that automatically discovers, enriches, and maintains the semantic context inside unstructured data.

Enterprise knowledge often lives in documents, PDFs, reports, and transcripts that traditional data systems cannot easily organize or govern. The Deasy platform analyzes that content and generates structured metadata, taxonomies, and relationships that allow AI systems to retrieve the right information with accuracy and control.


Senior Customer Engineers at Deasy Labs are responsible for

  • Partner with Account Executives to support the technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • Lead technical discovery conversations with customers to understand their data, AI, and business challenges
  • Design and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts
  • Translate customer requirements into solution architectures using the Deasy Labs platform and the broader Collibra ecosystem
  • Guide customers in applying Deasy Labs to organize and enrich unstructured data for AI and analytics use cases
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the evaluation and adoption process
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to share customer feedback and influence product direction


You have

  • 5+ years in a Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical pre-sales role supporting enterprise software
  • Familiarity with unstructured data, machine learning, or information retrieval technologies
  • Broad knowledge of data governance, data catalog, data quality, and data privacy platforms required. Experience should include a broad range of disciplines including value-based selling, cost-benefit analysis and ROI analysis, process and project management.
  • Broad experience as a Data Management practitioner in the areas of cataloging, integration, data quality, data or enterprise architecture, have set up or participated in governance boards.
  • Experience with the leading PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience

  • Willing to travel up to 30% within the region


Measures of success

  • Within your first month, you will become familiar with Collibra and understand our customer landscape.
  • Within your second month, you should confidently conduct discovery with customers and prospects, initial product demonstrations, and be able to present solutions aligned to customer value.
  • Within your third month, you will become a voice for Collibra within your accounts and for your accounts back within Collibra - educating external and internal stakeholders on features, roadmap, and new use cases.


Compensation for this role

The standard base salary range for this position - $152,000 - $190,000 USD per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.

In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive total rewards package, including bonus potential, equity for eligible roles, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
