Position: Facilities Engineer

Location: Johns Creek, GA

Pay: $44 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

We are seeking a motivated Facilities Engineer to support facility planning, design, and construction projects that improve operational efficiency and support production goals. This role focuses on managing building systems, equipment layouts, and facility upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan, design, and oversee the construction, renovation, and maintenance of facility infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize plant, office, and production equipment layouts to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Estimate design and project costs, including equipment, labor, installation, and materials.
  • Establish performance specifications and design criteria for facilities and equipment to meet operational requirements and building codes.
  • Coordinate with architectural and engineering firms to develop layout plans and technical drawings.
  • Prepare bid documentation, contracts, and project specifications for construction and facility upgrades.
  • Monitor construction and installation progress to ensure compliance with design drawings, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Review facility requirements, regulatory constraints, and project timelines to determine feasibility and execution plans.
  • Support short-term and long-term facility space planning.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling and planned equipment shutdowns for maintenance and servicing.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience in facilities engineering, construction management, or facility planning.
  • Strong knowledge of facility design, building systems, and equipment layout planning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on approach to project management and facility operations.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in the medical device or regulated manufacturing industry.
