A leading organization supporting electronics manufacturing within defense and military applications is seeking a Quality Inspector (Electro-Mechanical) to ensure components and assemblies meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards. This role is essential in maintaining product integrity, compliance, and inspection accuracy across incoming, in-process, and final production stages.

Hours and Pay

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Assignment: 12-month contract with potential for hire

Daily Responsibilities



  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on sheet metal, cable assemblies, electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and custom components
  • Examine units for physical defects such as broken leads, excess solder, faulty welds, coating imperfections, cracks, chips, and other irregularities
  • Inspect fabricated parts to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Verify correct hardware installation by comparing assemblies and subassemblies to parts lists and documentation
  • Inspect electrical and mechanical connections to confirm proper contact and assembly integrity
  • Measure components using precision tools to verify dimensional accuracy
  • Review final assemblies against BOMs, checklists, and sales orders to ensure compliance
  • Identify and reject nonconforming materials, documenting defect types and quantities accurately




Requirements




  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in quality inspection, electronics manufacturing, or related field
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 quality standards
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, source control drawings, and specification documents
  • Experience using quality inspection tools such as calipers, torque screwdrivers, cable testers, and volt/ohm meters
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and ensure compliance with strict quality standards
