PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. According to employee schedule, monitors function coverage, including call-ins and arranging for cross coverage.
2. Works in conjunction with HIS logistics staff to research records not received in the record procurement process.
3. Responsible for ensuring that productivity standard is met for each function utilizing employee productivity reporting.
4. Responsible for ensuring General Office policies are enforced.
5. Troubleshoots various computer applications and/or department equipment as needed. Liaison with the Help Desk.
6. Performs all functions of HIS Logistics Runner as needed to ensure daily/weekly turnaround times are met.
7. Conducts quality control audits as needed for all employees.
8. Prepares internal statistical reports as needed.
9. Complete shift reports each shift to refer issues to respective Manager.

Performs, assists and supervises all job functions of the Health Information Services Logistics department. Works in conjunction with all NSH locations to ensure consistency in departmental performance of functions to meet or exceed NSH Service Excellence goals.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. RHIT, with one year supervisory experience in HIS, OR three years' experience in a supervisory healthcare setting.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. RHIA certification.
2. Two years supervisory experience.
3. 1 year previous experience with imaging system.
