Could you be the full-time onsite Process Improvement Manager in Baltimore, MD, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your process improvement and quality assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll drive impactful changes by enabling maintenance teams to identify business improvement opportunities and fostering a culture of Lean Thinking. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, production, supply chain, and project management), lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives and workshops, and standardize and refine processes to enhance operational performance-and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Developing, facilitating, and leading Kaizen events to drive process and quality improvements. ,



  • Teaching Lean and Quality methodologies to executives, managers, supervisors, and unionized shop staff. ,



  • Auditing the quality systems of the project to ensure compliance. ,



  • Investigating repeat high-profile rail equipment failures alongside the Reliability Engineer team, focusing on root cause analysis, trends, design, maintenance practices, materials, and training. ,



  • Making fact-based recommendations to improve safety, quality, and fleet reliability. ,



  • Collaborating with the site management team to create and implement a business improvement plan with standardized processes to enhance maintenance operations and product quality. ,



  • Driving productivity and efficiency improvements in maintenance and business processes by implementing and managing tools and processes to monitor and enhance performance. ,



  • Supporting the maintenance teams in eliminating process waste through dynamic problem-solving techniques. ,



  • Leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives, conducting workshops, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. ,



  • Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, production, supply chain, and project managers to implement impactful changes."

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Continuous Improvement, or related field. ,



  • Experience or understanding of process performance improvement, fleet management, or maintenance techniques. ,



  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies, including Kaizen and Six Sigma principles. ,



  • Familiarity with business improvement tools such as Power BI and Excel for data analysis. ,



  • A certification or communication skill: LEAN certifications (Yellow Belt required; Green or Black Belt preferred). ,



  • Ability to lead workshops and foster a culture of continuous improvement. ,



  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work with engineering, production, supply chain, and project teams. ,



  • Analytical skills to conduct root cause analysis and identify process bottlenecks. ,



  • Adaptability to standardize and refine industrial, engineering, or administrative processes. ,



  • Resilience and leadership to drive operational impact through continuous improvement projects.
