Hexcel is currently seeking a Planner for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Matrix location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Manage production schedule for assigned assets
    • Reserve raw materials for production, and coordinate delivery of raw materials to production floor
    • Track operations performance to schedule
  • Release production orders
  • Create shop-floor paperwork and provide to operations
  • Coordinate with planning manager & Planner II to manage deviations from the plan
  • Manage inventory for assigned products
    • Reserve inventory for shipments
    • Ensure FIFO & prevent orphaned inventory
    • Prioritize rework based on shipments

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience required, 3+ years planning/scheduling experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment preferred
  • Inventory Control Experience/BOM Management experience preferred
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Proficient in part definition, bills of material, capacity planning preferred
  • Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft programs, knowledge of Microsoft AX preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, and superior communication (oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret customer specifications and requirements
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
