Description and Requirements

Overview:

The Summer Sales Intern will be trained in the roles and responsibilities of an OEM Inside Sales professional. This internship provides handson exposure to sales operations, customer support, and crossfunctional collaboration in a fastpaced sales environment.

During the internship, you will become familiar with internal sales tools and processes, work closely with the field sales team on prospecting and opportunity development, and support overall account management activities. This role is ideal for students interested in sales, customer relationships, and how crossfunctional teams work together to drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Inside Sales Support

  • Learn and support the daytoday activities of an OEM Inside Sales representative.
  • Assist with managing sales activities and supporting assigned customer accounts.
  • Help track opportunities, follow up on sales actions, and maintain sales records.

Prospecting & Opportunity Development

  • Work with the field sales team to prospect and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Support outreach efforts, lead qualification, and initial customer engagement.
  • Assist with preparing internal information to support sales discussions.

Account & Sales Operations Support

  • Provide overall account support, including coordinating information between sales, customers, and internal teams.
  • Help ensure accurate data entry and updates in sales tools and systems.
  • Support basic reporting and sales analytics as needed.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Participate in crossfunctional initiatives, collaborating with teams such as sales operations, recruiting, marketing, and product teams.
  • Gain exposure to how different functions work together to support OEM customers.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders.

Learning & Development

  • Become familiar with company tools, processes, and OEM business models.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and mentoring opportunities.
  • Develop foundational skills in sales, communication, and professional conduct.

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Interest in inside sales, OEM sales, or customerfacing roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and processes.
