POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineer of the Property Services operating unit is responsible for performing skilled work in the service operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple customer sites. This role has a strong focus on our customer service and plays a crucial role in brand representation. #JBGTech



WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Perform skilled troubleshooting, operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems across multiple customer sites.
  • Perform and document contracted work assigned by the Property Services Manager and Tenant Service Center.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication.
  • Carry and utilize Company issued communication devices for emergency response and daily communication.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Operate under the general supervision of Property Services Manager or other designated authority.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS)

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
  • EPA Universal CFC Certification required.
  • Journeyman HVACR license or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or commercial building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems and computerized maintenance management systems preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Valid driver's license, positive driving record, and ability to travel between properties as required.
  • As essential building personnel, ability to occasionally work overtime, weekend and holiday work on a scheduled, short-notice or emergency basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to extremes of temperature while working in mechanical rooms or outdoors. The employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, high voltage electricity with risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extremes of outdoor weather conditions and temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and occasionally requires the use of hearing protection equipment.
