Daily Responsibilities



  • Inspect incoming products, including components, subassemblies, labeling, and finished goods, in accordance with standard operating procedures and product specifications
  • Perform inspections on internally manufactured, packaged, and labeled products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, visual measurement systems, and tensile testing equipment
  • Follow documented test procedures to evaluate product conformance to specifications
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and organized inspection records in compliance with Good Documentation Practices
  • Prepare and review inspection documentation and nonconformance reports as needed
  • Determine appropriate sample sizes using statistical sampling plans (ASQ Z1.4 or C=0) and perform sampling accordingly
  • Properly identify and segregate materials based on inspection status (pending, accepted, rejected)
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (cGDP) while supporting overall quality system compliance



Requirements



  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device quality assurance or quality control inspection, including incoming, in-process, or final inspections
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment such as pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, and visual measurement systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications
  • Familiarity working in both English and metric measurement systems
  • Strong math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions
  • Ability to perform highly accurate, detail-focused work in a regulated environment
