Summary

Monitors daily activities associated with the Logistics and Trade Department. Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers, proper flow of customer orders for all shipments including International, Domestic, Prime Contractors and Government shipments to ensure proper receipt of goods. Ensures coordination, documentation, freight forwarding and expediting of finished goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements and meeting monthly company financial goals. Coordinates and assigns tasks ensuring they are handled in a timely and accurate fashion that meets all regulatory requirements. Ensures data entry into Oracle for order processing and the maintenance of paper and electronic audit records.

Essential Duties

  • Directs and reviews all domestic and international shipments for Contractual and Export /Import requirements.
  • Maintains and processes shipments in Compliance module for exports and imports, including active state department licenses. Also oversees the operation of Import Tracking Database.
  • Review and approve freight bills from domestic and international carriers, freight forwarders and brokers including storage charges, tariffs and duties paid.
  • Assists customers and suppliers in navigating transportation of goods both inbound and outbound.
  • Directs and advises government and prime contract shipments.
  • Directs and advises on government and customer portals.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Directs and prepares daily, monthly shipment priorities and schedules.
  • Directly supervises non-exempt traffic administrators, including conducting performance discussions and preparing written performance evaluations.
  • Interviews candidates and recommends candidates for hire.
  • Conducts corrective performance discussions and advises management on performance and corrective issues.
  • Trains employees on more intricate and sensitive export components and ensures procedures and SOP procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Ability to make recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as directed

Skills

  • Associates degree, Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • At least 5 years related experience in import/export processes with at least 2 years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year Oracle or ERP experience
  • Knowledge of PC's and software, including Microsoft office skills.
  • Ability to interact with varying levels of management, subordinates, co-workers and customers as needed.
  • Advanced mathematical skills sufficient to understand financial and production metrics.
  • Ability to process, sort, chart and disseminate and analyze reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in group meetings and discussions

Compensation and Benefits:

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
