Executive Service DCS PROGRAM DIRECTOR 2 - SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT - DAVIDSON COUNTY Department of Children's Services Special Investigations Unit Nashville, TN Salary: $78,528.00 - $101,448.00 annually Closing Date: 03/23/2026Background Check: This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position. Job Overview: This classification is responsible for professional Children's Services program development and administrative work of unusual difficulty and supervisory work of average difficulty. An employee in this class provides central office program direction and technical consultation to field staff for a large statewide program. This class may supervise employees in the DCS Program Director 1 classification. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college of university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to five years of professional work in one or a combination of the following: counseling or case management services, program evaluation, education, auditing, accounting, business/process improvement and/or social services grant coordination. At least four years of this experience must have been in children or juvenile services program evaluation, case review work, or process improvement (such as LEAN or Six Sigma certification) in any field listed above.
