ESSENTIALS:

Directly supervise 20 - 25 manufacturing employees in the aerospace industry including CNC, EDM and Conventional Machining, GTAW Welding, Vacuum Furnace Heat Treating, Non-Destructive Testing, Inspection, Plasma and Thermal Coating processes.

When required, overtime and weekend coverage to meet current business needs is expected.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

An ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree with 7 years of supervisory experience, or an Associate degree with 10 years of supervisory experience, or High school diploma with 15 years of supervisory experience in aerospace machining and/or manufacturing environment.

An ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. In addition, has the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Intermediate computer skills required in MRP and Microsoft office software systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow and implement the manufacturing schedule according to production priorities and customer demand.

Analyze each work order/work scope, determines processes and tools required to perform the jobs and assign responsibilities to employees accordingly.

Coordinate tooling requirements with production, engineering and tool room. Assist in tool manufacturing process as required.

Evaluate production schedules, estimate work-hours required, and complete all jobs in time.

Set-up, operate and/or train operators for machine qualification, program prove-outs and process substantiation.

Coordinate with departmental manager, supervisors and cross-functional team members regarding required labor resources, shift coverage, employee development and training.

Root cause analysis of material non-conformances including machine, equipment and/or tool malfunctions

Possess the ability to understand and interpret GD&T, blueprint drawings and technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form while dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.

Interpret operational data and report on manufacturing key performance indicators

Ensure that manufacturing process and products meet customer requirements, OEM and/or Overhaul Repair Manual specifications and FAA regulations. Follow and enforce company Quality Management System, standard practices and procedures.

Maintain 5S and manufacturing best practices

Ensure that requirements of society, including laws, statutes, rules and regulations, codes, environmental considerations, health and safety factors, conservation of energy and materials are understood, implemented and maintained.

In the performance of duties and responsibilities, if assigned to the Repair Station, assumes responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Company's FAA Inspection Procedures Manual and FAR 65, as amended.
