Summary: Oversees the human resource team and function for two locations in Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement local HR strategies aligned with corporate HR goals and overall business objectives
  • Oversee Human Resources staff of up to 10+ employees
  • Partner with corporate Talent Acquisition team to develop and administers an effective local recruitment program
  • Partner with managers to ensure effective communication, organizational change efforts, conflict management, and effective a training and development
  • Develop and deploy development and leadership training activities for entire area of responsibility
  • Responsible for the entire employee life-cycle for all individuals in area of responsibility.
  • Serve as EEO specialist and lead divisional affirmative action plan
  • Administers divisional benefit coordination; Conducts local wage and benefit surveys
  • Manages HR metrics and communicates findings to management team
  • Develops responses to unemployment or other legal issues, attends hearings, etc.; working with legal counsel at needed
  • Identify, recommend, develop and implement programs, processes and policies to address business needs

  • Demonstrate leadership and people management skills including ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels
  • Clear and professional communication
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment
  • Collaborate and influence cross functional peer leaders in order to obtain support for process improvements
  • Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building and project management
  • Ability to gain trust of business leaders and others to discuss and respond to sensitive and business critical issues
  • 8+ years of Human Resource and Training experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role; large or multiple sites (600+ employees and associated revenue/customer base)

    Education: 4 Year Degree in Human Resources (or similar) or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management

    Physical Location: Rochester, MN

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

    Compensation Range: $116,000.00 to $140,000.00 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.

    Benefits and Other Compensation: Benchmark provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, all based on scheduled hours. Benchmark complies with applicable state and local employee leave laws.
