Description

Acara Solutions seeks a Software Integration & Test Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • As a Software Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community.
  • Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions.
  • Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve.
  • Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting.
  • Support development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+.
  • Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams.
  • Support AGILE implementation.
  • Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software.
  • Maintain accurate records of test activities and results.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 2 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming, and scripting languages, Python.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with hardware/software integration testing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with 6 months of experience.
  • Agile experience.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype environment, adapting to immediate course correction as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors.
  • Familiarity with software testing and debug.
  • Background in defense or aerospace industries.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

  • Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
