As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government transit location as an armed patrol officer, helping protect riders, staff, and public assets. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial scene control and requesting medical, fire, and/or law enforcement assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with screening and/or credential verification as directed, and help to manage crowds, queues, and special events at the location.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership, dispatch, and/or responding public agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
