Entry Level CAD Technician

GFT is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Entry Level CAD Technician to join our Transportation group in Kansas City, MO. This role follows a remote work model.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans to support a variety of engineering freight rail projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality work that meets project specifications and industry standards.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for transit and rail projects.
• Collect and analyze field data to support the design and development of project plans.
• Utilize advanced CADD software to produce construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and other design team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Interpret and apply design manuals, guidelines, and standards, with support and review from senior staff as needed.
