Why we need you.

We're seeking a CPA Finance Controller to join the leadership team at our facility in Junction City just north of the airport in Eugene, Oregon. You will be the financial backbone of the plant, bridging the gap between the ledger and production floor. Your role involves close collaboration with plant operations, managing inventory accuracy, and leading teams in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cost accounting. You will be an integral part of our team, collaborating closely and working hands-on with others in roles such as Inventory Control, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Order Entry, as well as plant operations staff. Who you are.

You're a strategic CPA who isn't afraid to get on the plant floor. You enjoy the 'puzzle' of inventory in a FIFO environment and thrive on turning complex data into actionable insights for the leadership team. Your core responsibilities include:

• Financial Leadership & Compliance: Oversee all plant accounting functions, ensuring execution follows corporate policies. You'll manage the General Ledger and all sub-ledgers, including fixed assets, inventory, receivables, and accruals.
• Operational Partnership: Work closely with Inventory and Production to master Bills of Material (BOM) and costing structures.
• Performance Metrics: Drive plant efficiency by analyzing monthly plant yields, efficiency reporting, and other critical performance metrics.
• Reporting & Strategy: Lead the monthly financial close and reporting cycle. You will reconcile trial balance accounts and play a key role in the annual budget preparation process.
• Team Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to the Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accuracy.
• Capital Project Oversight: Execute the tracking and reporting of capital projects, supporting corporate fixed asset accounting.

Requirements

• CPA
• A minimum of 8-10 years of broad-based industry accounting experience. Food processing or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to explain financial 'whys' to non-financial operations staff.
