In this role, your work helps ensure trucks are safe, reliable, and available-directly supporting customer businesses and keeping them moving.

WhatYou'llDo:

You will perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal technical supervision. This includes preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs based on your skill level.

This role includesmobile repair responsibilities. When a truck or van experiences an issue, you may travel to the vehicle's location to diagnose and resolve the problem efficiently, helping get the customer back on the road as quickly as possible. You may alsobe requiredto drive Budget Trucks on public roads as part of repair or transport needs.

You will work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers, applying your diesel and medium-dutyexpertiseto reduce downtime, improve reliability, and support a positive customer experience.

WhatWe'reLooking For:

  • Valid Driver's License
    Class A, B, or C CDL may be required depending on location

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment

  • At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2additionalASE certifications within the first year

  • Working knowledge across ASE areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel

  • Ability to obtain DOT medical clearance

  • Comfortable working outdoors and in a mechanical shop environment with moderate noise levels

  • Must have a complete set of toolsrequiredfor automotive and diesel repair

  • Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry

  • Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk,sitand kneelfrequently, enter,exitand drive vehicles

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

  • This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

  • PreviousOriginal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage
