Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Coordinator with a background in wound care or negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) to join the Rotech team. In this position you will build strong relationships with physicians, wound clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies to deliver life-changing solutions that support healing and recovery in the home setting. This position will serve as a vital connection between the Wound Care Professionals and our home care services. In this role, you'll work closely with a designated wound care staff and Continuing Care teams to ensure a smooth transition for patients requiring wound care supplies - Negative Pressure Wound Therapy & Advanced Wound Dressings at home. You'll coordinate billable orders, facilitate equipment and supply delivery, and educate patients and caregivers on safe equipment use and Rotech Healthcare Inc.

  • Collaborate with medical professionals and internal teams to ensure seamless patient onboarding and satisfaction
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with healthcare providers and referral sources
  • Educate customers on product benefits, patient outcomes, and service capabilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation including referral forms, insurance verification, clinical documentation and delivery tickets
  • Manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas through strategic sales efforts
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to meet company and Joint Commission standards
  • Promote Rotech's wound care and NPWT solutions
  • Provide in-service training
  • Strong clinical understanding and ability to communicate with healthcare professionals
  • Support emergency equipment needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Experience with medical equipment, preferred
  • Experience with patient care workflows as well as hospital and clinic operations, preferred
  • Experience in wound care, NPWT, or medical customer service or sales, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Medical terminology, preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
