Inova Kellar Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I to join the Partial Hospitalization Program team. To provide trauma-informed care for teens aged 12-18 in a high-acuity setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of adolescents through case management and therapy. As a Behavioral Health Therapist I, you will be an integral part of the Inova Kellar Center team, dedicated to offering person-centered care in an outpatient family services department. Your work will involve a dynamic mix of case management and therapeutic interventions, creating a supportive environment for teens facing various challenges. This role is perfect for a passionate clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values multidisciplinary collaboration. This role will be full-time day shift (Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and with some evening hours for coverage needs, and possibility of adjustment of hours to 10:30am - 7 pm.)

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:

• Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
• May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.

• Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health-related field
• Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
• Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP) within 5 years. Must comply with the appropriate licensing board requirement for registering as a Resident in Training or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work or applicable title identified by the specific licensing board within 4 months of hire.
