Shipping Specialist

Position Title: Shipping Specialist (Entry-Level)

Work Location: 1 DNA Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080, USA

Assignment Duration: 6+ months

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

Inspect and pack R&D samples including hazardous materials and materials requires specific temperature

Process international and domestics shipments including documentation and packaging of materials

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and pack R&D samples including hazardous materials and materials requires specific temperature
• Process international and domestics shipments including documentation and packaging of materials
• Receipt of samples, packaging components and office supplies coming to the shipping hub
• Manage packaging materials inventory and order supplies
• Monitor sample inventory received at the Sample Shipping hub and report any discrepancies immediately
• Operate material handling equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Daily shipment track and trace
• Support Business Shipping and Campus Receiving departments when needed

Qualification & Experience:

• 0-2 years of experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work independently; must be a self-starter
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft offices.
• Knowledge or experience with warehouse and inventory systems and concepts is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
