Scientific Programmer IV This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. Cherokee Nation System Solutions, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable Scientific Programmer IV. Functional Description: Stewarding of geospatial data (i.e., GIS layers), including biological, chemical, toxicological, geological, and physical observations, social science datasets, video data, oceanographic data, and complex model outputs. * Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location. Extracts data from GIS software and uses varying analysis methods to arrive at results. Recommends appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis. Provides maps and data sets to clients to supplement analysis. Knowledge of GIS software and technology. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Scientific Programmer IV: [$115,000 - $122,000] Pay commensurate with experience.
