Our top financial client is looking for a talented Web Designer to join their high-performing design system team! You will contribute by applying knowledge and experience in the practice of human-centered and systems design. We are looking for a designer who can demonstrate the value of design by working alongside team members to iterate and deliver assets within a sophisticated design system framework.

*This role will be leveled based on the candidate's specific experience and technical proficiency. Operating within a data-informed, agile environment, you will assist in the research, ideation, concepting, prototyping, testing, and delivery activities to craft solutions that align with member needs.


What You'll Do:

  • Cross-Organizational Impact: Identify and document business problems to help shape solutions for moderately complex projects.
  • Full-Cycle Design: With guidance, contribute to all design activities from discovery to implementation of design artifacts, prototypes, and documentation.
  • Asset Creation: Create and document design assets and specifications, leveraging interaction design, visual design, and/or content design competencies.
  • Research & Synthesis: Support member-focused research efforts and the synthesis of research findings to determine a direction that aligns with member and employee needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Contribute ideas and support cross-functional stakeholders during human-centered design sessions and group discussions to ensure work meets agreed-upon business requirements.
  • Critique & Growth: Participate in critiques and design reviews to offer and receive relevant, focused, and actionable feedback while developing a deeper understanding of service design principles.
  • Risk & Compliance: Use usability and accessibility best practices to identify and respond to risks, ensuring optimal member experiences in accordance with relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures.


What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant, on-the-job experience in a Product Design, UX Design, or Service Design role delivering complex design systems for web and native applications. (Note: Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in Design Research or Production Design will be considered for Associate leveling).
  • Portfolio: A portfolio that demonstrates a strong attention to detail, experience with design systems, style guides, or component libraries for digital products, and experience designing digital experiences.
  • Technical Proficiency:


    • Proficiency with industry-standard design, prototyping, and workplace communication and collaboration applications (including Microsoft Office Suite).

    • Proficiency with the latest Figma features, such as variables, and design system best practices, such as design tokens.


  • Collaboration: Experience working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and collaborating closely with developers.
  • Core Competencies: An understanding of information architecture, accessibility, and usability best practices (including website navigation, browsers, and mobile patterns).
  • Professionalism: Strong interpersonal, time-management, organizational, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mindset: Highly motivated, engaged, and a quick learner able to work effectively within a team environment, with strict attention to deliverable timelines.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $30 to $36. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
