Description Position at General Parts Group Now Hiring: Lead Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician/Trainer Hourly Rates start at $45.00 per and up to $55.00 per hour based on experience Position Summary General Parts isseekinga skilled and motivated Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. This role combines hands-on field service work with the opportunity to mentor and train new refrigeration technicians. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in commercial refrigeration systems, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about developing the next generation of technicians. What We Need: Field Service & Repair Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and kitchen equipment at customer locations Perform routine maintenance and emergency service calls on refrigeration systems, including walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and prep equipment Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards Maintainaccurateservice records, parts usage, and customer documentation Communicate effectively with customersregardingequipment issues, repair timelines, and preventative maintenance recommendations Training & Development Train and mentor new refrigeration service technicians in both classroom-style and hands-on field environments Demonstrate proper diagnostic techniques, repair procedures, and safety protocols Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to trainees Assistin developing training materials, SOPs, and best practices Support onboarding and skill development programs for new hires Requirements: 5+ years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment EPA Universal Certification Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check Previous experience training or mentoring technicians Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Who We Are Over the last 80+ years the General Parts Group has grown to become one of the largest Foodservice Equipment Support companies in the US.
