The Environmental Services Lead will support the directives of the Environmental Services Leadership and provide leadership with related feedback in regard to the staff's work performance and the daily departmental operations. The Lead in conjunction with the Supervisor will assist Environmental Services staff so that the hospitals environment are cleaned and patient ready in an efficient manner and in accordance to departmental procedures. As necessary, The Lead will generate the Bed Turn Over Board and support OR and custodian staff. The Lead does not have full authority in administering disciplinary action, this position does carry the responsibility to report to the Environmental Services Leadership, concerns created by poor work performance of an employee, or by his/her failure to follow departmental policies or regulations.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from college with a major in an applicable natural science; or two years of college courses in the natural sciences plus two years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledgeand abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Minimum of 2 year of cleaning experience in the Healthcare settingAbility to coordinate, organize and prioritize the daily workloadDemonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectively in English - written & verbalHigh School graduate, GED and/or equivalent experienceBasic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capabilityComputer skills related to BTO / EPIC softwarePrevious Lead experience About UCSF

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
