** Unless candidate is relocating to San Francisco, local candidates from the bay area encouraged to apply. This position requires a minimum of 2 days onsite. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Organizes and directs research analysis activities and studies and serves as an advisor to research professionals. Provides priority setting and work flow analysis. We are seeking a full-time Data Analysis Supervisor to become an integral part of our team. We offer a positive environment with dedicated colleagues in the Department of Neurology at UCSF. The Data Analysis Supervisor will support epidemiological studies aimed at identifying risk and protective factors related to and/or the development of treatments for Parkinson's disease.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum five years experience including three in a lead/supervisory role or equivalent experience / training.Broad knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with the design and implementation of data collection and data reporting systems.Strong knowledge of bio statistical methods.Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and administrative skills. Strong and effective communication skills to communicate complicated information in a clear and concise manner.Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, research methods and statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, and/or R, Python, or a related packageExperience in relational database and/or event tracking database design, development and maintainanceProficiency in applications such as MS Excel and PowerPoint for presenting summary reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids.Demonstrates excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure completion of essential tasks by deadlines.At least three years of experience in working with large datasets is required, complex datasets preferrable, Process oriented with great documentation skillsStrong organizational skills.Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Strong knowledge associated with monitoring staffing levels, recruitment and training procedures.Familiarity with survey programming software such as Qualtrics, Redcap, or other survey toolsKnowledge of clinical and epidemiologic studyWorking knowledge of neurology, and/or Parkinson's diseaseSpecialized knowledge of data security measures.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
