Job Summary

The Warehouse Logistics Technician II is responsible for supporting warehouse operations in a fast-paced logistics environment by receiving, inspecting, organizing, and distributing materials required for project and field operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and timely delivery of supplies to installation crews to keep construction activities moving on schedule. The technician maintains organized warehouse operations aligned with 5S and Lean practices, operates material-handling equipment safely, and supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts, documentation, and database updates. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple material requests, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation.
  • Log incoming shipments and update inventory records in warehouse management or inventory systems.
  • Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations to maintain an efficient and accessible storage system.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.
  • Stage and issue materials for multiple installation or construction crews to ensure timely project support.
  • Deliver materials to field teams or staging areas and track material movement as required.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or mis-shipped materials to prevent delays or inventory inaccuracies.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely while adhering to established safety procedures.
  • Utilize barcode scanners, labeling tools, and handheld devices to track and document inventory movement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment following 5S or Lean organizational standards.
  • Prepare materials for transport using pallet wrappers, strapping tools, and appropriate packaging methods.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding material needs, inventory status, and operational updates.
  • Support general warehouse operations including loading, unloading, stocking, and material handling tasks.


Job Requirements



  • 4-6 years of experience performing shipping, receiving, stocking, and material handling in a warehouse or construction-support environment.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Hands-on experience using inventory management systems such as SAP, Spectrum, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to stage, issue, and track materials for multiple field crews in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of barcode scanning, labeling, tagging, and inventory documentation processes.
  • Experience identifying and documenting damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows operating systems for communication and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to maintain a warehouse environment aligned with 5S or Lean organizational practices.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting materials, moving equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining safety and accuracy standards.
  • Prior warehouse experience in a fast-paced logistics or construction support environment.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Work Experience



  • 4-6 years of warehouse logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or material handling experience.
  • Experience supporting construction or technical installation teams preferred.
  • Experience handling low-voltage materials such as cable reels, racks, or pathway hardware preferred but not required.
