POSITION: Data Governance Analyst Position Summary: At Cambridge Savings Bank, our purpose is to have a positive impact on our customers, employees, and community's financial well-being. The Data Governance Analyst will partner with the Director, Analytics and Data Governance, CSB data owners and data stewards, IT, Operations, and the Data Team to implement Data Governance documentation, policies and procedures, and data quality initiatives throughout the organization. This will include partnering across all lines of business to build awareness, to gain alignment on definitions and measurement, and to enhance data quality throughout CSB. Key Result Areas: * Build out the data stewardship/data owner operating model and be the Data Governance Council (DGC) owner. Oversee the relationship with data owners and data stewards, organize and run bimonthly meetings, document materials (PPTs and meeting notes), and keep the DGC updated on status and agendas for upcoming projects and meetings. * Lead and drive organizational change in Data Governance awareness and practices, providing training as needed. * Collaborate with data owners and stewards to develop definitions and build alignment across the organization. Develop and document all Data Governance artifacts: strategy and policy, BRDs, organizational definitions and measurements, reporting inventories (for business lines and Tableau server), data dictionaries, and a data model for the data warehouse. Maintain a document management system of all Data Governance artifacts. * Execute on the Data Governance roadmap by leveraging excellent project management skills. Be able to prioritize, set deliverables and timelines, and escalate as needed. * Help build and validate end-to-end data lineage, utilizing a data management tool. * Create Data Governance KPIs, reporting, and metrics to show program progress. * Develop, document and execute processes and procedures for data quality of critical data elements (CDEs). Create, implement and monitor validation rules/alerts, and research data quality issues, determine how to correct, and ensure changes are completed. * Own the Data Quality Issues System, as well as issue tracking and resolution (partnering with other teams in the organization as needed). Build data quality dashboards in Tableau. * Perform additional duties as required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of proven work experience with Data Governance and/or Data Management. * 1+ year experience with a data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), SQL, and data modeling software (Erwin, Visio, etc.). Able to understand and build data models and data taxonomy, with experience in data quality initiatives. * Proactive and self-driven with project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to work with large and small groups; to different levels of stakeholders. Excellent documentation and organizational skills. A problem-solving approach to take ambiguous requirements and determine the approach/steps, execute on that approach, find the best stakeholders to partner with to answer questions or resolve issues, and see the project through to completion with minimal oversight. * Knowledge and experience utilizing, maintaining and administrating market leading Data Governance software, such as Collibra, Talend, Purview, Atlan, Alation. Familiarity with building and managing a data catalog. * Demonstrated understanding of Data Governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and understanding of best practices and standards for Data Governance and the impact that IT infrastructure/environments have on governance. Preferred: * Analytics background. * Prior experience implementing a Data Governance program within a large financial institution or public company. * Knowledge of relevant data protection laws, regulations, and policies specific to the financial services sector such as privacy laws or open data initiatives. * Experience in ensuring compliance with data privacy and other financial regulations. * Related certifications such as Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP), Certified Public Sector Data Governance Professional (PSDGP), Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or other certifications related to Data Governance. Location: Hybrid/Waltham, MA Salary Range: $78,200 - $101,600 The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $78,200 - $101,600.
