Copper River Shared Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Administrator to join our growing IT team in Clackamas, OR. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, assisting with device and user management, and supporting a secure Microsoft GCC High environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to develop hands-on experience in desktop support, cloud-based systems, and enterprise-level security practices.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):



  • Provide hands-on desktop support for Windows-based systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain applications in accordance with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support mobile device management (MDM), including device enrollment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in managing devices through Microsoft Intune, including policy enforcement, compliance monitoring, application deployment, and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues, connectivity problems, printers, peripherals, and user access concerns.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and group memberships within Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and recurring problems to enhance internal knowledge resources.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement best practices in security, configuration management, and device lifecycle processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
  • Ensure all activities comply with security requirements aligned with NIST 800-171 and CMMC standards.


Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Required Experience and Knowledge:

    • 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop administration.
    • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, enterprise applications, and hardware components.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Intune (or comparable MDM/EMM tools).
    • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
    • Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently with guidance.




  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a regulated or secure IT environment (e.g., GCC High, GCC, FedRAMP).
    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
    • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for basic automation tasks.
